Reflection on First Meeting I learned today that assessment is both dynamic and complex and the process itself can be overwhelming. I’m looking forward to the workshop as it appears that many issues will be addressed. I am also excited about working with other faculty as I am curious to as how they address assessment-related issues. As a relatively new faculty member, I’m always concerned about “doing the right thing” in order to best assist my students in their learning experiences. I think that it will be very helpful to listen to the ideas and approaches taken by group members and classmates, especially those that have gone through training specific to the assessment process.

Related to the Pocket PC, it was nice to finally be able to work with one. I’ve used a Palm for the past 5 years and I’m curious to see how the transition goes. I was a little disappointed that it was not set up to work with the campus wireless network straight out of the box. But then again, I know that we have the resources to get it configured correctly and I just have to be a little patient.
